In my work as a Drive Train Engineer for Olin Baja SAE, my team and I researched differential designs for the front and back half-shafts and designed them in CAD for our full car assembly.
In my Intro to Thermal-fluid Systems course, I designed code that, given the 2D geometry of a kite's wings, will calculate the optimal bridle point and angle of attack of the kite to optimize the lift and minimize the drag of the design.
In my Mechanics of Solids and Structures course, my team and I performed FEA analysis in Solidworks on a NBA basketball hoop to determine the stress acting on the glass at the moment it shatters from an NBA player dunking on the hoop.
