Purpose:

I and four other mechanical engineers at Olin designed, analyzed, and manufactured a portable, flywheel-based football launcher that can launch footballs up to 70 yards with NFL-level axial spin. The system contains three sub-assemblies: the motor assembly and flywheel mounting, the linear actuator and launcher frame, and the launcher legs and electrical panel.
